Do Not Extradite Marc Emery

Marc Emery is in custody pending the signature of the Justice Minister on his Extradition Order. I implore you to make sure that order is not signed.

Regardless of your beliefs on drug policy or Marc Emery's activism, the fact remains that Marc Emery's case is about sovereignty.

The Crown refused to charge Marc Emery in Canada. The Vancouver Police Department, frustrated by this decision, lobbied the US Drug Enforcement Administration to initiate an investigation. It was only after this lobbying that the US DEA investigated and pursued charges against Marc Emery.

When the US agreed to a 5 year deal to be served in Canada, the Canadian government rejected that deal.

From the start, this has been about abrogating the sovereignty of Canada. If Canadian citizens are guilty of committing a crime in Canada, then arrest and charge them in Canada.

Canadians do not want their justice system to be exported to the United States.

Do Not Abandon Marc Emery abroad.
Do not sign the Extradition Order.
