The Sensible BC campaign is a project of the Sensible Change Society, a registered non-profit society. Our board includes:

Dana LarsenDana Larsen - Dana is the former editor of Cannabis Culture Magazine, a founding director of the Vancouver Medicinal Cannabis Dispensary, and a director of the Canadian Association of Medical Cannabis Dispensaries.

 

Kirk TousawKirk Tousaw - Kirk is a Director of the BC Civil Liberties Association and Vice-Chair of the Association’s Drug Policy Committee. He is also the Executive Director of the Beyond Prohibition Foundation.

ADVISORY BOARD

The Sensible BC Advisory Board are individuals who have offered to give us some of their time, to help assist in guiding the Sensible BC campaign.

David Bratzer -  David is President of Law Enforcement Against Prohibition Canada who lives in Saanich, BC, and is a member of Stop the Violence BC Coalition steering committee. David’s writing on drug policy has appeared in the Toronto Star, Ottawa Citizen, Vancouver Sun, Victoria Times-Colonist, Blue Line Magazine and other publications.

*David Bratzer participates in the Sensible BC campaign while off-duty and the views he expresses are strictly his personal views.

John Conroy, QC – John has practiced law for 40 years as a criminal defence lawyer and has represented major cases before the Supreme Court of Canada, including cannabis and constitutional matters. He is on the Board of the Pivot Legal Society and is counsel to VANDU in its efforts to keep open the safe injection facility Insite.

Bob Erb - Long time cannabis advocate, former candidate for the BC Marijuana Party and for Mayor of Terrace, BC. Founder of the Erb4Herb legalization organization. Sponsor of many 4/20 rallies across Canada.

Jodie Emery - Proprietor of Vancouver’s Cannabis Culture Store and PotTV. Spokesperson and advocate for cannabis law reform. Former candidate for the BC Green Party.

Judith Newbergher-Renaud - Executive Director of Educators For Sensible Drug Policy. Retired Principal. BCTF & TSSU member. Masters in Education, SFU. Serves on the advisory board of NORML Canada, is an associate member of Stop the Violence BC, the Canadian Drug Policy Coalition and the Drug Policy Alliance.
